NOTE: Nothing presented in this post captures the cost of living for a few years, including travel and lodging for various clinical rotations. These additional costs will substantially increase how much PT school sets you back.
One of the first frustrations you'll discover when applying to PT school is trying to figure out how much each program costs. You dig around through website after website. Some are clear and straightforward, others send you on a scavenger hunt through various webpages and PDFs, picking out numbers and tallying them up in a spreadsheet just to find out if it's something you can stomach paying and therefore worthy of additional research.
We've all been there. And in case it's any help getting started in your journey, here is a map and spreadsheet to serve as a resource for people looking to narrow down (or expand) their choice of schools.
This data was pulled as of December 2015/January 2016 by Gabriel Alain, Ted Moyer and myself. It is not an ironclad representation of tuition and fees, but our best effort at culling websites to summarize this information. Please take this for what it is and not as the Final Truth of what these programs will set you back.
If you find any errors, please let me know in the comments below. Best of luck to you as you embark on this crazy process.
Note that this is not a complete list. There is a consistent drip of candidate programs and some of them may not be captured here. For the most up-to-date listing of programs, please go here.
